Mineral processing laboratory has been established in line with educational and research programs of undergraduate and postgraduate courses of the Faculty of Mining Engineering. This laboratory plays an important role in understanding the basics and applications of crushing, separation, concentration and hydrometallurgy methods by providing services in the curriculum of undergraduate and postgraduate students. At present, this laboratory provide different facilities in the fields of comminution and classification (including crushing, milling, hydrocyclone, classifier, sample preparation and design of comminution systems), upgrading (including magnetic methods, gravity, laboratory and semi-industrial flotation), sedimentation (including semi-industrial thickener) and pyrometallurgical methods (including furnaces), (bio) hydrometallurgical (including autoclave, biological hood, centrifuge, bioreactors, shaker-incubator) and electrochemical methods. This laboratory is able to perform all mineral processing and (bio) hydrometallurgical projects for the industrial and mining companies from design to execution according to the international standards.
