Microscopic mineralogy laboratory

Level begin

In this laboratory, various metallic and non-metallic minerals and types of rocks in polished and thin sections are studied by light transmission polarizing and reflective light polarizing microscopes, respectively. It is also possible to take photographs from sections using a digital camera. Undergraduate students in optical mineralogy and microscopic lithology, as well as postgraduate students, experts and professors use this laboratory to conduct research projects. This laboratory also has the ability to serve outside of the university.

Laboratory equipment:

Polarizing light and reflected light microscopes, Binocular microscopes, Camcorders, Televisions connected to cameras and microscopes, Computers connected to cameras and microscopes.
