In line with the educational and research programs of undergraduate and postgraduate courses of the Faculty of Mining Engineering, the Geophysics Laboratory has been operating since 1978. This laboratory plays an important role in understanding the basics and applications of geophysical exploration methods by providing services in the curriculum of undergraduate and postgraduate of exploration students (using the geophysics site where all kinds of buried anomalies are placed). At present, this laboratory supports undergraduate and postgraduate projects in the fields of magnetometry, gradiometry, electromagnetic VLF, electrical resistance measurement, autogenous potential, inductive polarization in the field of time, seismography, seismometry and chromatography, and provides students with the existing software and the necessary facilities from the initial stages of field harvesting, modeling and interpretation of the results. This laboratory is able to implement all practical geophysical projects according to the needs of industries and mining companies with existing standards in Iran and the world. So far, more than a dozen geophysical exploration projects in various fields such as groundwater exploration, mineral potential exploration, mineral resource exploration and archeology using the above mentioned methods have been completed by this laboratory. Therefore, this laboratory announces that it is ready to carry out geophysical exploration projects in the above-mentioned areas and invites applicants to send their application to this laboratory.
