The specialized laboratory of acoustics and vibrations in the Faculty of Mining Engineering has started its activity with the aim of applying and improving new processing technologies of sound and vibration waves. In this laboratory, recording and processing of signals are performed using various equipment such as focal sound sensors, ambient sound pressure measuring device (SPL meter) and uniaxial and triaxial vibration sensors (accelerometer) installed on the rotary drilling machines. In the laboratory, various information from drilling operations is being collected and analyzed.
